The past three weeks have been hard for Vena and I. Nakato, a lady who has been helping us at our home, moved on to start a business with her sister. Zoe, Rille, Graham and I have been sick with coughs. Zoe had bronchitis and a fungal infection in her head. We had to cut off her hair and she is still on treatment. I have gotten to babysit more, and there have been a few times where I took Rille to work with me to give Vena some more sleep.
It has been hard and draining, but I am liking it. I have gotten to spend more time with the kids; we went to the gym together, and they seem to be enjoying the dance workout class. We plan to continue taking them along once a week.We are still thinking of whether we should replace Nakato or not.
We ran a camp for special needs kids from April 9th to the 13th. We had 3 Physiotherapists, 1 Psychiatrist, 2 Occupational Therapists, and our friends from Hope Speaks Ministry sent 4 Speech Therapists. We did 139 sessions during the week; 47 of them were Physiotherapy, 37 of them were Occupational Therapy and 50 of them were Speech Therapy. Along with the therapy sessions, we also did 5 counseling sessions.
Thank you for all your prayers and support!!
God is faithful. It will be over. Get well soon!
